The Reports section lets you go beyond the Dashboard and dive deeper into your business data. You can create detailed reports, either starting from a template or building a completely custom one.
1. How to Create a Report
To start analyzing your data in detail, follow these simple steps:
In the side navigation bar, click on Reports.
In the top-right corner, select the "Create custom report" button. If it's your first report, you can also click the central button.
This will take you to a new report panel, ready to be configured.
2. Adding Metrics to Your Report
Unlike Dashboards, reports allow you to add multiple metrics to see their combined performance in a table or chart.
In the right-hand side panel, open the "Metrics" section.
Search for the metrics you are interested in, such as Total Sales, Return Rate, or Average Order Value.
Select the metrics you want to include in your report. They will be automatically added to the panel.
3. Customizing Your Report
Once you have chosen your metrics, you can customize the report with different filters and dimensions to get the specific information you need.
Date Filters: In the "Filters" section, you can select a predefined time range (like "Year to date," "Last 30 days") or choose a specific date range using the calendar.
Dimensions: Dimensions allow you to group data for a deeper analysis. For example, you can group your sales by Day, Week, or Month to see performance over time. Simply click on the "Dimensions" section and choose how you want your data organized.
4. Understanding the Results
Once your report is configured, you'll see the data reflected in a chart at the top and a detailed table at the bottom.
Chart: Visualize the trends and performance of your metrics over time. You can change the chart type (for example, to a line chart) for better visualization.
Data Table: Explore the data in detail, row by row. You can sort the columns to view results in ascending or descending order.
With these steps, you can generate and customize reports that will give you a comprehensive and detailed view of your business's performance.
