Data Visualization: Understanding Your Metrics on Dashboards

Learn to interpret your data in Cifra. Understand line charts and numerical metrics to monitor your business's performance by category.

Updated this week

In Cifra, Dashboards are your visual command center for monitoring business performance at a glance. Information is presented in two main ways: through line charts and individual numerical metrics.

1. Line Charts

Line charts are the most effective way to visualize the performance of a metric over time. They are ideal for identifying trends, seasonal cycles, or the impact of specific events on your business.

  • Identify trends: A line chart allows you to see if your Total Sales are growing, declining, or staying stable over a specific period.

2. Numerical Metrics

Numerical metrics give you an instant and precise view of a key value at a specific moment. These metrics are displayed on individual cards on your dashboard.

  • Key values at a glance: You can see the Average Order Value (AOV) or the Total number of orders as a simple number, allowing you to monitor performance in real time.

3. Types of Metrics You Can Find

The platform allows you to monitor a wide range of metrics to get a 360-degree view of your business. The metrics are organized by the following categories so you can easily find what you need:

  • Sales: Measure your financial performance with metrics like Total Sales, Gross Profit, and Cost of Goods.

  • Customers: Understand the dynamics of your customer base with the number of New Customers and the Returning Customer Rate.

  • Behavior: Analyze how users interact with your store through metrics like Average Order Value (AOV) and GA4 Bounce Rate.

  • Operations: Evaluate your business's efficiency with metrics like Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).

By combining line charts for trend analysis and numerical metrics for quick tracking, you can gain a complete view and make informed decisions about your business.
