Automating Reports: Scheduled Delivery

Learn to automate the delivery of your Dashboards and Reports. Schedule daily, weekly, or monthly deliveries via email or Slack.

Updated this week

The Schedules section allows you to automate the delivery of your most important Dashboards and Reports, ensuring you and your team always have key information up-to-date without needing to log in to the platform.

1. Creating a New Scheduled Delivery

To start automating your reports, follow these simple steps:

  1. From the navigation menu, click on Schedules.

  2. In the top-right corner, select the "Create Schedule" button.

2. Choosing What and Who to Send To

Now you can configure the delivery details:

  • What to send? First, choose whether you want to send a Dashboard or a Report. Cifra will show you a list of the Dashboards and Reports you've already created.

  • Recipients: In the Recipients section, you can choose whether to send reports via Email or to a Slack channel. For emails, you just have to enter the addresses. For Slack, the integration must be configured in the Reporting settings.

3. Setting the Delivery Frequency

  • Frequency: Define how often you want the report to be sent. You can choose between Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.

  • Time: Select the exact time of day for the delivery. For example, you can schedule it to arrive every morning at 8 AM, ready for your first meeting of the day.

4. Selecting the Delivery Format

For reports, Cifra gives you options for the file format:

  • PDF (.pdf): Perfect for quick viewing and sharing a high-level summary.

  • Excel (.xlsx): Ideal if you need to manipulate data or perform more detailed analysis.

  • Comma Separated Values (.csv): A versatile option for importing data into other analysis tools.

Additionally, users will receive a preview of the report embedded directly in the email body.

Once you save your schedule, it will appear in the Schedules list with its status set to Active. From there, you can see when it was last sent and when the next delivery is scheduled.
